State Basketball Competition--Will we be 3rd or 4th place in 88 counties?!?!?

So our boys both participate in Special Olympics in our County.  We have such an awesome program and the coaches are the best!!!!!!  Here's a couple pics of the boys warming up for last night's game.  Our school age basketball team was trying to place 1st in the state of Ohio.  We did great, but they did beat us 59-42.   Today we play for either 3rd or 4th place.  And that is out of 88 counties!!!!  I say our little Henry County team ROCKS!!!!!!

The basketball court we played on..

Our van ready to go:

 Our cheering poster.
Decorating the team bus....(That's an elusive picture of me painting the Special Olympics symbol on the bus.  I normally am not in pictures...my hubby had the camera.)
 Our little Caty Cougar.
Dad proudly wearing his game shirt.
Another of the little cheerleaders....the coach's children were cheering too, but Joe missed a pic of them.  If someone else has one, would appreciate it.

  1. What an awesome accomplishment! Your family....is so sweet. I can not imagine the complexity of your homeschool. I have a daughter who is dyslexic with auditory/visual processing issues and sensory, as well. It has put me on a path....that I thank God for, but I wonder, if other Moms with children who have no learning problems really get what it's like. While I know what it's like for me...I do not know what it is like to walk a mile in your shoes. You are an inspiration to me.....as I read through your blog, I saw your heart and love, a heart of serving and giving and....it is amazing. I am truly blessed that you dropped by. I am behind on visiting others...and am ashamed to admit that.

    Thank you!

  3. Thanks to both of you:) This was the first time in at least 8 years that the team got this far. The older kids on our team are awesome. They look out for the younger and "less talented" kids by helping them on the court. Our team has been known to give back the ball to the opposing team to allow their player to attempt a missed shot again, just to make them feel good!!! That is true sportsmanship!!!!!
