Our Weekly Triumps

Another week down!!!

The boys worked hard on their math facts and spelling on BIG IQ Kids.  They are progressing nicely.

For Science we talked about crystallization and geodes.

We did fun activities for National Toasted Marshmallow Day...

We finished up talking about chickens and Ants:

The boys and I have discovered a weak area in math, so I will be working one-on-one with them on the subject of adding/subtracting money.  This is too important of an area to just skim over for them.

We finished our discussion about hieroglyphs in Ancient Egypt.  They each rolled out a cuniform tablet (clay)...and then draw their names in heiroglyphics.  Might of had a bit of cross-over in our project.  But oh well....they seemed to enjoy this project.

Lydia is starting to recognize more site words....so hoping that our new combination continues to help her learning to read.

We also took a family day and went to Cedar Point and Soak City.  It was exhausting...but worth it to go to an amusement park on a Thursday.  Almost empty.  15 minute wait times....if any on some rides.  Definitely going to stick to that schedule for the future!

Watch for our post on what everyone is doing next week.
