SpeedyPrep - CLEP Examination Study Program Review

Testing for anything that involves college can be overwhelming, and we do not concentrate on testing in our studies.  So I was interested to get a chance to review the CLEP examination study program from SpeedyPrep.

I don’t have anyone on their way into college in the next year, but you never know what the future holds.  The CLEP or College Level Examination Program is a set of tests that are given to students so that they can earn possible college credit for classes without taking actually taking them.  SpeedyPrep has created an online program that will allow your student (or even yourself) to practice for these college examinations.

SpeedyPrep was created to be used with students at least 16 years and older.  It uses a series of flashcards and questions to allow the student (or adult in some cases) to review college level material and earn a passing score by repeatedly quizzing on the subject they are studying.  As the student answers problems correctly, it shows that they can retained the knowledge needed to pass that particular CLEP test.  SpeedyPrep tracks the number of times that a question has been answered correctly so that you can just concentrate on retaining the material.  The SpeedyPrep progress bar shows students when they have achieved a 90-100% success rate on the course.

The SpeedyPrep flashcard system is very effective, but just in case you need a little more help, they also include videos on several of the topics that you are studying.  The videos are meant to reinforce the topics that are being studied through the electronic flashcard system.

The SpeedyPrep  program is done entirely online.  You do not need to buy any extra materials to use the program.  You can use it on your computer, tablet or even your phone.  So you can use this program anywhere, even when you are out and about.  As long as you have internet coverage, you can practice whenever you discover you have some downtime.

If you are using SpeedyPrep properly, they guarantee their product.  If you complete the program and have a progress bar that is 90-100%, and you fail your CLEP exam, they will refund your money.  They are very confident in the success rate of their product and that it meets all the standards for the CLEP exam.

There are 33 college subjects that are currently available to take the CLEP examination on.  SpeedyPrep offers help with all of these subjects, from my research on them. 

You can actually highlight subjects and then select which areas you would like to concentrate on.  In the example above, I could select branding, consumer behavior and marketing concept to concentrate on with my study flashcards.  So if you already know some of the areas that you have weaknesses in, SpeedyPrep makes it easy for you to work on those specific areas.

If you want to just study the questions that you missed, there is a feature after you finish your session that allows you to select to repeat only the questions that you missed previously.

SpeedyPrep  is extremely user-friendly.  The login is simple, and you can also log into the same account from a couple different devices.  This is convenient when we would need to go from a laptop at home to tablet on the go.  Once you select the subject you will be working on, you just start answering your questions.

Questions centered around not only techniques and skill on a subject, but also vocabulary.

Videos are also included with many of the topics being studied.  These videos are great as a refresher before you start your questions.  You cannot watch just the videos and do no other studying for your exam.  It will not work.  The videos work to be used along with the flashcard questions in the SpeedyPrep program.

SpeedyPrep  has definitely shown me that Joey (and even myself) would have a lot of work to do if we wanted him or myself to test out of college classes.  This program has definitely opened my eyes to what courses we will need to continue on, if Joey wants to attend any college classes in the future.

I have really enjoyed going through the questions on SpeedyPrep.  It has given me the opportunity to practice areas that I think Joey is ok in, and assess what more we need to do in preparation for the possibility of college.  SpeedyPrep is a great educational tool for those with high school students.  It’s a great way to practice and work on their testing.  It is also great that SpeedyPrep is so confident in their product that they offer a money-back guarantee if you are using the product properly.
