We have been talking about pirates in Social Studies. This was a filler unit until I was able to get our World Geography unit together. Plus Talk like a Pirate Day inspired us. We really liked the Magic Tree House Research Guide on Pirates. We've been putting together a notebook about different types of ships they used and even learned some pirate phrases.
Today we started a pirate ship foam project. I'll have to update you tomorrow. For pre-cut easy assemble pieces we are having a difficult time getting the pieces to fit together.
Next we begin our adventure in China!!! I am excited and hope the kids are also.
