Maple Syrup time.....

 We spent two days learning about where maple syrup comes from and how we get syrup from sap.  I won this really awesome dvd from Moore Family Films.

We tried to make maple syrup candy....and it started out ok....but didn't completely turn out.  We ended up with really thick, honey-like substance!

 The kids thought the bubbles were cool!!

 I set the ingredients out for Lydia to make pumpkin pancakes for us to enjoy maple syrup with.

Grandpa gave us permission to try and tap one of our maple trees.  Now to do it this week.  Hoping to get supplies today.  I'm a little nervous, but I think we can!
