Caty School - C says Caty and Cat...and cats have kittens

Our letter this week was C...and we worked on the number 3.  Our theme was Cats and kittens...

Caty's boxes were up and running this week.

This is a great math activity.  I didn't get a chance to snap a shot while she was doing it, but she loved it!!  Just need pipe cleaners and pony beads.  Was super easy to make and set up.  You can change it up to match whatever theme or color combination that you want.

 This week was zipping and putting on socks.  You can't see them, but I have a pair of slipper socks in this drawer also.  She practices a couple times using each item.

Caty really likes Scholastic News-Let's Find Out.  This is the kindergarten edition.  I ordered her the Clifford magazine to finish out the year.  I received a half off offer for the remainder of the year, so I jumped at the chance.  Even got the boys the Science Spin magazine!

While decluttering this weekend, I found the Mickey Mouse alphabet book that I got Caty on one of our trips to Tennessee.  So I put that in this week.  She had fun with this.

This was her alphabet bin.  Saw this on Pinterest.  Lydia even got into this hunt.

She was proud when she finished it.  (yeah she was having a pacifier day...We are at about only 15% usage right now.  Almost broke it.)

Another math activity that I was able to include fine motor into.  I printed this kitten picture from some stock photos online.  Added dots with a Sharpie and she was ready to roll....literally!

All they do is roll the dice and that is the amount of stickers they need to put on the sheet.  These foil stickers are great for fine-motor.  Hard to get off and small.

For art, we read the Cupcake story and made puffy cupcakes.

 Added some food coloring to get purple.

 Used glitter as sprinkles....it was very cute!!!

We played the game, 'Feed the Kitty'.

 And she enjoyed watching the soap expand in our Ivory Soap experiment.

Caty played on Starfall alot this week.  She loves the songs.  We worked on the poem, "The Three Little Kittens."
