Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside my window...

The sun is starting to shine.  I am sitting in the living room area of our hotel suite deciding whether or not I want to drive in downtown Philadelphia one last time today.

I am thinking...

That life is going to return to normal in just two days.  And I have a craft show fast approaching, and lots of cookies to bake for a bake sale.

I am thankful...

That we are able to travel with my hubby.

In the kitchen...

We have had spaghetti, tacos, and a little too much Wendys.

I am wearing...

I am still wearing my pjs.

I am creating...

Another Study guide for the Book 2 of the American Girl Saige series.  And also working on our science plan for the summer.

I am going...

Most likely to the Elmwood Park Zoo today.

I am wondering...

Whether I will be sane anymore after this trip or to be quite honest after this upcoming weekend.

I am reading...

Nothing exciting.  The American Girl Saige books and a book called Papa's Pearls (watch for the upcoming review).  I also am reading the new Chicken Soup for the Soul for Parents with kids on the Spectrum

I am hoping...

for a calm mood day.....

I am looking forward to...

Next week.....a little bit of normalcy to my schedule after the craft show.

Around the house...

Lots of decluttering going on.  Cleaning out the closets for spring and the family garage sale in May.

I am pondering...

Whether or not a history/science 6 week schedule will work for us.  It will for the boys, but will the girls like it.

A favorite quote for today...

“If a child cannot learn in the way we teach… We must teach in a way that the child can learn”

-Unknown.

One of my favorite things...

Sitting in the hot tub at night....need to get the hot tub fixed.

A few plans for the rest of the week:

We have a big craft show for the Special Olympics in our county this weekend.  Joey and Lydia are going to help their Grandpa pick up garbage for a belated Earth Day celebration.  And they also need to clean a mile of road for our 4H club (it's was raining too hard when we left).  Hopefully Joe and I get to go out Sunday for a bit...shhh....by ourselves.  But we'll wait and see.

A peek into my day...

You don't even want to see it :)
