Homeschool Travels - Jefferson Memorial

Since we were in DC and Brayden had just done reading about Thomas Jefferson, we decided to visit the Jefferson Memorial.

The basement of the building (which is run by the National Park Service) is a small collection about Jefferson and his accomplishments.

Examples of books that he wrote.
A picture of the Original "Copy" machine.
Jefferson's lap desk that he would've used to write the Declaration of Independence on.
Just like Jefferson's architecture, this memorial is beautiful.

And then we headed to the National Mall to explore some art museums.
