Homeschool Travels - Visiting Fort Worth

On a recent visit to Texas, we had the opportunity to visit the Cowgirl Museum in Fort Worth.  It was a very neat experience.  I think the girls thought there would be a little more to see, but they said it was fun to see famous "Horse women".
You couldn't take pictures inside the museum...but we were able to snap a few outside.

Than we went to the Fort Worth Science Museum, which is right next door.
Working on Motion

Brayden was enthralled with the coin donation.

Experimenting with light

The biggest Light Brite I have ever seen

Making paper airplanes.

Checking out some dino bones
She found something she could fit in...lol

Learning about the round up

They had one that Brayden could try.  He couldn't climb on the other horses.

Branding

Playing in the children's area.
Brayden even enjoyed playing in this area.
She LOVED playing in the baby nurse area.
This was a favorite.  He still secretly loves trains.

This is always Caty's favorite play area.  Food shopping.

Checking out mining equipment.

Dinosaur fossils

We really enjoyed the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.  It was a great cross of Science, History and hands-on Children's Museum.  None of them were bored.  We were exhausted when we were done.  I highly recommend dropping by if you are visiting the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
