Weird and Wacky March Holidays and Special Days



I know this is almost a week behind.....that is how I feel most days, always behind.

This Month in History for March:
  • March 10, 1876 -  Alexander Graham Bell places the world's first telephone call, to his assistant in the next room. 
  • March 10, 1862 - 10 The U.S. government issues paper money for the first time. 
  • March 12, 1912- The Girl Scouts were founded.
  • March 17, 1845 The rubber band was invented. Can you imagine life without them!?!
  • March 19, 1918 -  Congress approves Daylight Savings Time. 
  • March 23, 1775 - Patrick Henry declares "Give me liberty, or give me death!" 
  • March 27, 1964 -  The biggest earthquake ever recorded strikes Anchorage, Alaska.  It measured 8.3 on the Richter scale. 
  • March 29, 1886- Coca Cola is invented.
  • March 31, 1889 - The Eiffel Tower opens in Paris, France
