Fall Family Fun In Northwest Ohio

I love fall.  It's my favorite season!!  It's a time of yummy pumpkin everything, apples, festivals, beautiful colors, cooler weather and did I mention pumpkin EVERYTHING!!!

This is a great fall bucket list to do with your family...we are working on ours.

So I thought I would post some fall family fun for the Northwest Ohio area.

Leader Family Farms offers various corn mazes and family activities.  We have visited here a few times and found going in the afternoon and early evening is best for those with kids who have sensory issues.  The price is reasonable also.  This year they are featuring the Big Jack Pumpkin Cannon...I can't wait to see this in action!!  Their maze is in the shape of a truck.

Butterfly House - Wheeler Farms has a huge set up.  You can visit the Butterfly house and also the corn maze.  Their corn maze is a dedication to the Jeep Wrangler, which has been built in Toledo for 75 years.  Prices are $8.00 for 10 and over, $7.00 for those 6 - 9 and 5 and under are free.

MacQueens Orchards has a fall festival each year.  They offer pick your own apples, delicious homemade cider and doughnuts.  During festival times they offer hayrides, a craft show and a tour of the cider press room.  They have a unique gift shop with something for everyone.  They offer school tours.

Johnston Fruit Farm in Swanton, Ohio is one of our family favorites for apple picking.  Each September they offer a wonderful time where you can go into the orchard and pick a bag of apples to donate to a local food bank.  They also give you a free apple, and a treat bag for coming out to help.  We have enjoyed this fun fall day for a couple years now.  Every weekend they offer a petting zoo and they also have a pumpkin patch.  So you can get your pumpkins and apples at the same time.  They have delicious doughnuts and our daughter's favorite apple cider.  You can drive out into the orchard to pick your apples, and everyone is very friendly.  Johnston's also offers field trips to schools and homeschool groups.
