Koru Naturals Review - Emu Shampoo & Leave-In Conditioner

I am always on the lookout for all natural health care products.  I have a lot of allergies and sensitivities.  So I have to be extraordinarily careful about everything that I use.   Earlier in the year we had the opportunity to try out products from Koru Naturals and I was excited to get a second chance to try out more of the products that they offer.  This time we were able to review the Emu Oil Shampoo and Leave-In Conditioner ($18.60) and also the Skin Clear Cream ($19.20) and Manuka Honey Propolis Soap ($7.90).

The Skin Clear Cream has done wonders for my skin.  It has simple ingredients of healing manuka honey, coconut oil, and some essential oils.  Nothing harmful or unknown to me on the ingredient list.  I don't like it when I have to Google what an ingredient is when looking for skin/hair care products.  The Skin Clear Cream is meant to serve not only as a moisturizer but also help maintain your skin's balance to prevent acne breakouts.

I really wanted my son to try the Skin Clear Cream, but he is highly sensitive to smells, which makes essential oils hard to use on him around his neck and facial areas.  He does suffer from terrible and painful acne breakouts.  But there is a unique smell from the essential oils that kept him from using this.  I personally though did not mind the aroma, and used it daily on my face.  Unfortunately, I could not get a good shot of the before and after using this on my face.  The pictures would not turn out the way I was hoping.  But I will say that while I have been using this product, the normal skin issues I have when coming in contact with certain foods, completely disappeared.  I have had zero breakouts the last few weeks.  I normally have issues on my neck from the food sensitivities, and these have not occurred either.

I decided that the best way to show the huge difference that the Skin Clear Cream makes is by showing on my hands.  The focus on my camera was able to show the moisturizing difference.

My hands crack so bad in the fall/winter that they will even bleed.  It is extremely painful. Last week, I was feeling that dryness coming on and thought, "Why not try the Skin Clear Cream?"  So I did.

Before my hands were dry, white and rough....

After....the dry skin disappeared and I didn't feel "the stretching" feeling as I was bending my fingers.  I was amazed at how much Skin Clear Cream helped my hands after 1 day of use.

The Manuka Honey Propolis Soap has been such a gentle addition, that I didn't want to share it with the kids.  I will admit to be a bit stingy with the soap, but love the feeling of my face and hands after I wash my face.  They feel soft and not dry or have that weird feeling from regular soap that feels like something is left on my skin even though I have rinsed.

Again, the Manuka Honey Propolis Soap has few ingredients, and it's all natural with the healing benefits of honey.  Another plus in my book.  Two of my favorite beauty items is coconut oil and honey!!

The other products that we got to review was the Emu Oil Shampoo and Leave-in Conditioner.  I love using the pure Emu Oil that we had a chance to review earlier in the year.  The benefits to my skin and joints was amazing.  So I was curious, what is this going to do for my hair?

My hair is not in horrible shape, but it has a tendency to be more on the oily side and frizzy side too.  I do use a blow dryer, so that is one thing that I needed to stop using.  I know it's not great for my hair.  So I did try it a few times without my hair dryer.  I will admit that my hair did not get "frizzy" or have as many fly-aways when I was using the Emu Oil Shampoo along with the Emu Oil Leave-in Conditioner.  But even on days when I used a hair dryer, I still did not have as many problems.  I just know on the no-high heat hair dryer days, I have more healing taking place for my hair.

I also noticed that my scalp was not as itchy and was not as dry while using the emu oil products.  Another plus for the benefit of using Emu Oil.  And again there is limited ingredients in the Emu Oil Shampoo and Leave-in Conditioner and I did not have to Google any words.  I was very grateful for the fact that they did not use Xanthan gum in their products, which even though is considered natural and ok for those with alleriges, I have a sensitivity too.  So I was able to use these products without worry of allergen reactions.

Another plus of the Emu Oil Shampoo and Leave-in Conditioner is there was not a smell.  So I was able to use these products on my sensory children that have issues with smells.  I just wish Emu Oil would get rid of tangles...lol.  That would make my life so much easier with Caty's curly hair.

I have been very impressed with all the products that we have reviewed with Koru Naturals.  They really do want their customers to have the best all natural products available in the world.  They have earned my trust and we will continue ordering from Koru Naturals.
