Greek 'n' Stuff - I Can Study Acts Alone with God Bible Study Review

We recently had the opportunity to review I Can Study Acts Alone with God - A Bible Study NIV aid written by Karen Mohs and published by Greek 'n' Stuff.  It has been a real boost to help the kids learn new techniques for personal Bible study.

I Can Study Acts Alone with God - A Bible Study NIV contains 52 lessons that walk your student through the entire book of Acts.  Each lesson contains seven days worth of material.  Such as, on Monday you would read Acts 1:1- 11.  There are 3 questions that they must answer to go along with the material they are reading.  Each questions refers back to a verse in the reading, so that your student can look back into their Bible if they are struggling a bit with the answer.

Each week there is a memory verse to work on remembering from the assigned reading for that week.  Your student can review the verse each day and work to "cultivate" and "imprint" each weekly verse into their spiritual heart and minds.

The six day schedule encourages your student to look at their Bibles daily and shows them how taking just a short time to read from God's Word daily is of benefit to their physical and spiritual lives.

The questions that are asked throughout each lesson are thought-provoking, but not too hard as to frustrate a child who is eager to learn.  As you can see in the picture above, each question also contains the reference chapter and verse for the student to refer back to during their study.

Each daily lesson will only last your student roughly 15 minutes worth of work.  I Can Study Acts Alone with God - A Bible Study NIV is very easy to use and just like the title says, your student can study Acts on their own!  Roughly three short questions each day, with references provided will empower your student and build their confidence in advancing their personal study.  It's more than just reading the Bible, but they are also thinking about what they read.  And they can take the information they are learning and applying it in their lives.

I Can Study Acts Alone with God - A Bible Study NIV offers not only comprehension of the Bible book of Acts, but information on geographical and cultural aspects of the Bible verses are also examined.  Prayers is also encouraged daily.

With special needs kiddos who have short attention spans, I was curious how this would work out with the kids.  Due to the layout, we had no issues.  The work takes anywhere from 10 -15 minutes daily.  So there was no issues with them getting "bored" during their assignment that day.   I Can Study Acts Alone with God - A Bible Study NIV is written to be used by students in elementary through Junior High/Middle school.  But older students who are new to studying the Bible and even adults could benefit from using I Can Study Acts Alone with God - A Bible Study NIV or any of the books in the I Can Study Alone with God Bible Studies.

The cost is just right, at only $23.95.  I Can Study Acts Alone with God - A Bible Study NIV has been a great addition to our Bible Studies.  I am looking at purchasing other books in the I Can Study Alone with God Bible Studies.  These include Jonah/Ruth, 1 Samuel, Esther, and more in the works.  We reviewed the New International Version, but I Can Study Acts Alone with God - A Bible Study is available for purchase in the King James version also.

Several members of the Homeschool Review Crew were able to review several of the I Can Study Alone with God Bible Series, as well as Hey Andrew, Teach Me Some Greek!
