My School Year Homeschool Record Keeping - Annual Membership Review

Trying to stay organized while homeschooling can be difficult for almost anyone.  We had a chance to review My School Year Homeschool Record Keeping - Annual Membership to try and keep me organized.  It has taken my planning and recording keeping to a whole new level.

I started out homeschooling and when doing one it's crazy enough.  But to track multiple kids...holy cow it's hard.  I started using notebooks ten years ago, but those get lost.  I used files on my laptop that I would create, then lost the files when my computer died (forgot about back up of things like that), and now I have been introduced to My School Year Homeschool Record Keeping.  What a life saver this will be!

When you start, you will create an account and add your students.  You will need to add your students that you are tracking.  And then each subject/class they are taking.

You can add the assignments once you have "created" the class.

My School Year Homeschool Record Keeping also keeps tracks of awards that your student receives during the year.  This would have been helpful for me the last few years.  I always forget by assessment time all the various activities (or I lose that notebook) of the awards and activities that the kids have participated in.  It's inevitable that I know that I miss something.

Have trouble keeping track of your calendar....My School Year Homeschool Record Keeping has you covered there also.  They have a calendar where you can track your kids activities, field trips, class times, etc.  You can color code so that you can keep student's separated.

My School Year Homeschool Record Keeping doesn't leave you in the dark.  They have several videos to help parents make sure they are taking advantage of all the resources that it has to offer.

My School Year Homeschool Record Keeping provides great reminders while using their program.  I get weekly emails to make sure that I remember all the resources that I have available at my finger tips.

It was a little time consuming getting started with My School Year Homeschool Record Keeping.  But that is because I was starting from the very beginning with 3 kids information to be input.  Once you have all the initial information put into the program, the rest is a piece of cake.  It is very user friendly program and they want to make sure that you feel comfortable while using My School Year Homeschool Record Keeping.  And between the tutorials and the weekly reminder emails, they can put your mind at ease that you are organized in your homeschooling!!

When you need information, it's all at your fingertips.  Need a list of assignments your son or daughter has completed in math, there's a transcript for that.  You need to track grades for your state, you have that.  You need a list of awards or volunteer positions your student has held for a scholarship application, you have that information also.  My School Year Homeschool Record Keeping really has everything covered for you, including a high school transcript if you need that also.  This would be a great program to use for all ages, but especially for those middle to high school years as you prepare your student for College-Credit Plus and post high school college studies!!

There is a little work that can be done weekly.  As you check over your kid's schoolwork, you check off the assignments they have completed.  Add grades.  You also need to add volunteer hours and positions.  So all the work isn't done for you completely.  But it is very easy to input, and you can add it when you are ready.  So if you want to spend just an hour a month adding all that information, then do it then.  Or you can track it weekly or daily depending on your schedule.

Once I got the initial information input into My School Year Homeschool Record Keeping, I was ready to go.  I like that I am able to track their extra curricular along with their school assignments easily.  This helps to keep Lydia's zoo, sports, and riding schedule in mind while I am planning her school assignments.  It makes it feel less overwhelming.  I'm going to continue using it for Brayden, as I am also inputing materials that he already completed his freshman through junior year.  It will keep all his information at my fingertips as he prepares for graduation this upcoming summer.  Since I am able to track all of Lydia's "extras", this will help me as she prepares for possible college during high school, since we'll be starting to fill out that paperwork in the next couple years.  At least all the information I am going to need will be found easily with a few clicks of the mouse because of My School year Homeschool Record Keeping.
