Byron's Games - Connections Stationary Kit Review

Disclaimer: I received a FREE copy of this product through the HOMESCHOOL REVIEW CREW in exchange for my honest review. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way.

Writing letters are a thing of the past.  We recently had the opportunity to review the Connections Stationary Kit from Byron's Games.  Everything for your own letter writing fun is packed away in this box.

Our box arrived with all the materials for fun letter writing.  Each kit includes 25 envelopes, 25 sheets of paper, 24 fun stickers, a pen, and even a thank you stamp with a pink and purple ink pad to help out in creating your letters.

Writing letters has really gone by the wayside.  It even has been renamed "snail" mail because it takes so much longer to receive than electronic mail resources used by so many now.  But so many generations before us have really begun to miss getting that envelope in the mail.  We all know the excitement of getting an envelope in the mail addressed to us.  Wondering what is inside and if there is no return address, even wondering who it is from.  Lydia on a regular basis questions the mail to see if she has anything in it.

There is a movement to bring back more letter writing, and this movement includes even making sure that students can write in cursive.  With the Connections Stationary Kit everything is there for your student to write a letter to a distant relative, a thank you note for a gift, or just a letter to a friend.

I'll be honest.  Our kids do use email and e-messaging a lot.  Even when they turn in reports, they usually type them up.  That has been mainly due to their writing difficulties due to either a hand tremor or Caty's dexterity issues.  I though want to make sure that the girls keep on top of this dying craft.  We do not have a lot of out of state relatives, so instead the girls chose to write some encouraging notes for people in our congregation.

They chose to keep their letters short and with just an encouraging thought.  And then they heavily chose to lay on the stickers...lol.  But it was a sweet gesture.

This is a great kit for a young child to start with their letter writing skills.  I really wish that the kit also included a couple templates about letter writing.  I looked up some online resources for them to use as guides as they were writing their letters.  If parents had that directly in the box, it would be very helpful for this as a fun teaching experience.

The value of the Connections Stationary Kit is excellent.  The girls have enjoyed writing letters.  This would definitely be an item that I would buy as a gift for an elementary aged child as a gift for a fun learning experience.

Several members of the Homeschool Review Crew were given the opportunity to review Connections Stationary Kit and also the Continent Race game from Byron's Games.  Click on the link below to see how they used these products in their homes and with their families.
