Started thinking about it and did a quick double check on Netflix and decided to use a laid back approach to the upcoming Columbus Day with coloring sheet projects and a History video. Very little work needed on my part except to help with cutting and explaining things they didn't understand.
I found this wonderful link at Scholastic for Columbus Day activities. The kids really liked this.

They seemed to enjoy the laid back fun, will continue to talk more about Columbus over the next few days.
My kids recently asked if they had Columbus Day off. They were pretty bummed out by the answer! Perhaps, some netflix viewing will help them feel better! Thanks for the resources.
