Homeschool Mothers Journal-Week 38

The Homeschool Mother's Journal

In my life this week.....

WOW!!! Still busier than ever.  We are all fighting either a cold or sinus issues.  I have been downing oregano oil and elderberry as much as possible.  I woke up with an earache and sore throat yesterday.  Felt better today, but still hurts a bit.  And then I developed a bad headache and ended up with the kids sinus cold they were passing around.  Lots of herbs and elderberry.   Just keep taking all these things to help out!  I can't take the normal meds the others can because of my allergies.

In our homeschool this week.....

We have been working on our projects for the Non-Edible Book Fest this coming Monday.  I am super excited about this event.  It's the first time for our homeschool group. I don't want to post any pictures of projects though until Monday evening...lol.

We have started a new history curriculum that is very much literature guided.  Watch for the upcoming review.  This week we have been working on Vikings.  We also updated and fixed our timeline.  We'll be studying a lot of important dates coming up, and needed to be ready for putting them on the board.

We finished everything!!!  Whoohooo!!!

What I'm reading.....

Still working on Hunger Games....but I've thrown in a couple History books to go with our new History Curriculum.

What I'm Cooking....

I made some chicken soup this week.  We also had Thailand Fried Macaroni.  Caty has been requesting homemade chicken tenders again, so added that to the menu for next week.  And wanting some potato soup so adding that to next weeks menu.  I made paleo spanish rice tonight and it was different.  Not what I was expecting, but not too bad either.

Picture from the week....

Lydia and I went to the Girl Scouts World Thinking Day for our Unit.  Our troop represented Cyprus.  We both dressed as close as possible to the traditional clothes of that day.

Sorry for the short journal this week.  Way behind on so much, and need to catch up....lol.

Joining up with other Homeschool Moms at the Homeschool Chick.
