You know all those pearls of wisdom that our Grandparents or Parents are always sharing with us when we are young, and yet we do not want to listen or just choose not to.  Well Dianne Flynn Keith was wise enough to share her Papa's Pearls, A Father's Gift of Love and Wisdom to His Children and Grandchildren ($14.97) with all of us.

This uplifting book is packed full of the life experience of a very hardworking and loving family man. He wanted to make sure that his kids were well prepared for life.  But not just financially, but able to make good choices and look to the past to help them in the future.

He was always optimistic, even when life seemed to be weighing him down.  Always had kind and wise words for his family when they were suffering.  This made a huge impact on the lives of those around him.

This book made me sit back and think about our life.  With multiple kids considered special needs, life feels like it is throwing bricks at us daily.  Do I remember to tell them how much I love them, no matter how frustrated I am feeling?  How about a smile or a hug?  Did you hug your spouse today, yesterday...do you even remember?

Have you told them that you love them?  Papa made sure to tell all his family, ALL his family that they were loved.  And loved unconditionally.  He always told them, "I love you. You know that, right?"

No matter how frustrated things make us, those bad feelings will actually harm and destroy the family bond.  Papa's Pearls - A Father's Gift of Love and Wisdom to His Children and Grandchildren strongly encourages and gives wisdom on how to improve/strengthen what in today's society is being quickly destroyed.

Each chapter is broke down into easy to read sections, for either your own personal reading or for read-alouds with your family.  I could barely put this book down, and plan to read it again.  Also am going to encourage my hubby to read it.  It is excellent reading for children and adults.
