Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside my window...

It is cool and pleasant outside....almost to the point of needing a sweatshirt.  Enjoying it because I know we'll be sweltering soon!!!

I am thinking...

That summer is supposed to mean relaxation....but it is always craziness.

I am thankful...

For beautiful weather today....it was a nice day with the girls and Phoebe.

In the kitchen...

I made homemade steak fries with baked potatoes and coconut oil.  They were soooooo YUMMY!!!!  We had steak salads for lunch today :)

I am wearing...

Shorts and t-shirts....feeling casual.

I am creating......

Nothing right now...well kind of.  Trying to create a way to overcome the mess that keeps appearing in our house.  It gets so bad!

I am going...

To meet with the kids assessor tomorrow.  I am going to get the paperwork ready for the school early.  They lose it every year, so I get started earlier and earlier.

I am wondering...

Not really much, but I did wonder about this question for a while...lol.

I am reading...

Karen Robards - Shattered

I am hoping...

That we find a medicine solution to help Joey soon.  Regression has started in some areas of his life on his lower med doses.  But the medical insurance doesn't care about the possible embarrassment that an almost 13 year old boy might feel or the danger his impulse issues are to himself.  Let's save them their money and let the drug companies rake in their billions......ok, I will stop now.

I am looking forward to...

Possibly going on a date with the hubby this weekend, but it's not looking good right now.
I am learning.....

That I must cut back, no matter how much my brain thinks I can accomplish

Around the house...

It's actually livable!!!  Spent all weekend cleaning :)

I am pondering...

How to get it all done....hhhmmmmmm......

A favorite quote for today...

"Having kids is kind of like living in a Frat house. Everything is sticky and you're not quite sure why." - Unknown

One of my favorite things...

Just Caty's curiosity about life....it's hilarious to listen to her questions she is asking.

A few plans for the rest of the week....

We had an art event today for a fundraiser.  Assessments are this week.  Caty has a doctor appointment to hopefully get started on her speech therapy.  We had our first Science club this week also.  It was fun!

A peek into my day...

Lydia is cuddling with the other kitten she found this weekend.  Yes....that's 2 kittens we are now raising.  They must be from separate litters, this one, Now called Brownie is much smaller than the other one.  Brownie is doing Lydia's math, science, reading and any other subject that she can sneak him into.
