Marbles Children Museum - Raleigh, NC

We were looking for a fun place to hang out for a few hours one day, and decided on the Marbles Children Museum in downtown Raleigh.  This is where our local Science center family membership comes in handy.  It allows us to get into so many other museums for free, they have an extensive reciprocal membership database!  Love saving money!!

We played a little chess.

Joey and Lydia attempted a little checkers.
There was this great pirate ship to play in.
There was a submarine science center, which Caty and Joey LOVED!!  Fortunately they have free wi-fi, and that is what Brayden loved.  He was able to do his thing on the bench where I was sitting, and the other kids were able to play.

There was a workshop section with REAL tools.
 Lydia thought she was He-man!
A play-town area with a pizza shop, ambulance, bank, and veterinary clinic.  Caty is delivering her pizza she just made.
Joey and I worked on the budget activities.
 Another science area for Joey.
This was a fun balance board activity.

And we saw a cool 3D movie on the Lemurs of Madagascar.

I highly recommend visiting the Marbles Museum.  Very neat and lots of activities.  I thought the IMAX was a bit pricey, but if you have a membership, you get a discount.  So it worked in our favor.  Great way to spend a morning staying cool!!
