Educeri Lesson Subscription Service Review

Sometimes you need a little extra help with lessons.  We have multiple learning styles in one group, so it's a challenge to keep everyone happy and learning.  We recently had the opportunity to review the online Educeri Lesson Subscription Service from Educeri ....... Educeri a division of DataWORKS.

The Educeri Lesson Subscription Service provides over 1,000 lessons in Math (413 for all grades), Science (22 lessons at middle to high school level), History (26 lessons for 5th grade and up), Language Arts (525 lessons for all grade levels), Art, PE,  and Music.

Many of the lessons are Common Core aligned, even though we do not use Common Core materials, I didn't find that it affected any of the materials I used and how I would present them to the kids.

Educeri Lesson Subscription Service has helped me out in teaching the kids their group lessons.  I have different learning styles with all 4 kids, so teaching them as a group is a challenge daily.  I was excited to try out the Educeri Lesson Subscription Service.  This program has been written with lessons for grades Kindergarten through high school.

You can easily do a word search for specific lessons that you are looking for.  I love this feature.  We all know how limited our time is, so having a search feature is something I look for on all websites.  I just don't have time to sit and scroll through a list at times.  So being able to do a quick search is a big plus for me!!

Once you choose a lesson, it works online as a slide show.  You do need to be online while using the Educeri Lesson Subscription Service.  You simply click Teach Lesson, and your slide show will come up on your screen.

You simply work your way through the presentation.  Not only do you have online lessons created, but you can print out student handouts for many of the lessons.

This has provided me with great material for not only additional learning, but material I can use for full lessons.  During our recent study of the Civil War, we used materials they had to offer.  I liked that the grade level was easily seen, before I even opened the lesson.  I knew I would need to adjust this material for the girls, but it is the level the boys needed.

Extra teaching points and vocabulary suggestions are made on the pages, and other notes for you as the teacher.  This was a great bonus in lesson planning.

Learning Objects were given and also review questions and other suggested critical thinking questions.

The lessons we used were well put together and organized.  The Battle information provided for me well written and I didn't need to do any extra research.  I was able to just open up the lesson when we were ready to work on battle information and we started covering the material.  Slides were not overwhelming with wording and included pictures to help keep the kids attention as we discussed them.

Obviously you may not get through all the lesson in one sitting.  You can easily skip to the slide where you left off with a couple clicks of the mouse.

The slides we used on Civil War battles encouraged child participation and interaction about facts used.  We could have easily made a timeline similar to what they were using in the slides to help reinforce the material being discussed.

We also used a couple Language Arts topics, including one on nouns.  I don't have a whiteboard or anything fancy.  We simply sat at our table and used my laptop to go through the slides as we talked about the material.  With the Language Arts we used the Student handouts.  These were very easy to download.  A couple clicks of the mouse and then I printed them off.  We worked on them as we went through the lessons.  Very easy to use.

The cost of the Educeri Lesson Subscription Service is $7.00 per month.  But if you are still on the fence, you can use their 30 day free trial to see if this program will be a good fit for you family.  A credit card is not required to try out the program.  That is a great deal.  There are not too many curriculums where you can use it before you pay.  I am very excited to see what other lessons Educeri ....... Educeri a division of DataWORKS will be adding in the future!

Several members of the Homeschool Review Crew were given the opportunity to try out the Educeri Lesson Subscription Service.  Still not sure, be sure to visit their blogs and see how they used this program in their homes and what they thought of it.
